On February 24, 2022, Putin's invasion of Ukraine escalated the country's humanitarian crisis, leading to civilian casualties, family separations, and widespread displacement. As conflict drives people from Eastern to Western Ukraine, over 3 million have fled, including 1.5 million children, with men aged 18 to 60 staying to fight. This situation has intensified emotional despair and yearning among families to reunite and return to their homeland.
Despite the feeling of helplessness from afar, we can support Ukrainians through actionable steps such as donating to Airbnb's initiative to provide temporary housing for refugees. This effort offers a direct way to help by funding comfortable accommodations, with 100% of donations used to support displaced Ukrainians. Your contribution can ease the hardship of those fleeing, ensuring they have access to safe, temporary homes while they await the chance to return to their homeland.

The war in Ukraine has been raging for more than nine years, claiming over 20,000 lives and displacing millions of people.
