Music Therapy
What is Music Therapy?
Music Therapy is a program that utilizes music to help improve patient mental health. There are numerous benefits associated with listening to classical and instrumental music. One notable benefit is music’s ability to reduce stress and anxiety. Research also shows that music can enhance brain function related to dopamine secretion, learning, and memory. Given that many of the patients may be unresponsive to everyday stimuli and face long-term healthcare challenges, introducing music can spark positive emotional responses and stimulate various cognitive functions.
